A foreman for an injection-molding firm admits that on 39% of his shifts, he forgets to shut off the injection machine on his line. This causes the machine to overheat, increasing the probability that a defective molding will be produced during the early morning run from 5% to 15%. The plant manager randomly selects a molding from the early morning run and discovers it is defective. What is the probability that the foreman forgot to shut off the machine the previous night?

Say I only need 1000 parts. To invest for an injection mold is too much. Any other cheaper ways to make it? And still get reasonable quality? Thanks.

I have a plastic product originally produced for me by The Fuller Brush Company (I own patent). Then they discontinued and destroyed all the parts for creating. Can a mold be made from an existing plastic product, then produced via injection molding?

Looking for a Company that can do that.

Magnesium Injection Molding

Pro-Mold, Inc. located in Rochester, NY is injection molding an 8lbs part using ABS Resin in an 1100 Ton Press.

I was wondering if I could recycle my old soda bottles by cleaning them and crushing them into flakes, then melt them and inject the plastic into molds. I’m just not sure about the properties of PET though.
